Welcome to Lancaster Lane Primary and Pre-School
When I was interviewed for the role of Headteacher in March 2023, my vision for Lancaster Lane was clear: I wanted our school to be recognised for excellence in teaching and learning. Teaching and learning has always been my passion, and it continues to guide every decision we make.
I am proud to say that our entire team, staff and governors alike, shares this vision wholeheartedly. Together, we put it into practice each day. Alongside our commitment to high-quality education, we are equally devoted to the wellbeing of our children. We strive to know every child as an individual, understanding their strengths, interests and needs. This personalised care underpins our ethos as a caring community.
Our school mission statement reflects this belief: “Everyone in our school is unique and valued.”
These words are lived out in our daily practice and supported by our three simple, powerful rules that permeate everything we say and do:

Our children experience a well-designed, thoughtfully sequenced curriculum that reflects our local area and school priorities. We are committed to teaching the full curriculum, recognising that each subject contributes to a rich and rounded education. Every child is unique, with different strengths, and we work hard to ensure they all have opportunities to shine.
We celebrate achievements both in and out of school, recognising that learning, talent and character extend far beyond the classroom. Visitors often comment on the warmth of our environment, and we warmly invite you to come and experience it for yourself.
